Ruby on Rails on DEVAE
The Rails hub is small and experienced: mostly people who have shipped products with Rails for years, plus founders choosing it for a new company because one developer can move fast. Threads cover Hotwire and Turbo versus a JavaScript front end, background jobs, upgrading old apps, and the eternal question of how to keep a large monolith maintainable. Rooms are used for pairing sessions in the classic Rails tradition — share the terminal, run the tests, refactor together.
The Ruby on Rails hub →Developers in Iceland
Iceland has a very small technology sector concentrated in Reykjavik, with gaming, fisheries technology, energy and data centres as recurring themes. Cheap renewable power attracted data-centre investment. English proficiency is high and most companies are small, so roles tend to be broad.
