Community Guidelines

DEVAE is a community built on mutual respect and collaboration. These guidelines help keep our platform safe and welcoming for everyone.

Respectful Behavior

  • Treat every member of the community with respect and dignity, regardless of their experience level, background, or identity.
  • Engage in constructive conversations. Disagreements are natural — focus on ideas, not individuals.
  • Welcome newcomers and be patient with those who are learning. Everyone was a beginner once.
  • Use inclusive language. Avoid slurs, insults, and derogatory remarks of any kind.

Content Standards

  • Share only content you have the right to distribute. Respect copyright and intellectual property laws.
  • Do not post malicious code, malware, or content designed to harm other users or their systems.
  • Keep content relevant to development, technology, and professional growth. DEVAE is a professional platform.
  • Do not share personal information of others without their explicit consent.
  • Clearly label content that contains experimental, untested, or potentially dangerous code.

Prohibited Activities

  • Harassment, bullying, threats, or intimidation of any user.
  • Spam, unsolicited advertising, or promotional content unrelated to the community.
  • Impersonation of other users, organizations, or DEVAE staff.
  • Attempting to exploit, hack, or circumvent the security of the platform.
  • Creating multiple accounts to evade bans or restrictions.
  • Any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations.

Reporting Process

  • If you see content or behavior that violates these guidelines, report it immediately using the report button on any post or profile.
  • You can also email our Trust & Safety team directly at safety@devae.co with details and screenshots.
  • All reports are reviewed within 24 hours by our moderation team.
  • Reports are confidential. We will never reveal the identity of the person who filed a report.

Consequences

  • First violation: A warning with an explanation of the guideline violated.
  • Second violation: Temporary suspension of account (7–30 days depending on severity).
  • Severe or repeated violations: Permanent account termination.
  • Illegal activity will be reported to the appropriate law enforcement authorities.
  • DEVAE reserves the right to take action on any account at its discretion to protect the community.
