Ruby on Rails on DEVAE
The Rails hub is small and experienced: mostly people who have shipped products with Rails for years, plus founders choosing it for a new company because one developer can move fast. Threads cover Hotwire and Turbo versus a JavaScript front end, background jobs, upgrading old apps, and the eternal question of how to keep a large monolith maintainable. Rooms are used for pairing sessions in the classic Rails tradition — share the terminal, run the tests, refactor together.

Halifax is Atlantic Canada's largest technical market, built on ocean technology, defence, financial services and Dalhousie University's research. The Atlantic time zone suits European collaboration, and the startup community is small but active.
