Kotlin on DEVAE
Kotlin on DEVAE covers both halves of the language's life: Android apps built with Jetpack Compose, and server-side work with Ktor or Spring. Multiplatform projects are a frequent topic, as are coroutines and the practical questions about structuring a codebase that mixes Kotlin with legacy Java. Rooms are useful for pairing on an emulator or a build problem, since you share the screen and the Gradle output rather than describing it.
The Kotlin hub →Developers in Derry
Derry has a small but deliberate software sector built around a university campus and cross-border investment, with work in shared services, health technology and support functions. Its position on the border means some residents work in Donegal or commute toward Belfast, and remote contracts are common.
