Hire developers from a real community
DEVAE lets recruiters and hiring managers find developers by stack and city, see real work on public profiles, and meet candidates in live rooms instead of sourcing from resumes.
DEVAE is a free developer social network where recruiters and hiring managers can find developers by stack and city, see what they have actually built on public profiles, and talk to them in a live room. Sourcing from a community beats sourcing from a resume pile because you see the work before the first call.
Be a good guest. DEVAE is built for developers, and recruiter spam is the reason many of them left LinkedIn. The approach that works here is to show up as an engineer or a team: post what you are building, host a room about a real problem, and let the people who are interested find you. Profiles are public and indexable, so searching by skills and location works, but the relationship starts with the community.
What recruiters and hiring managers use DEVAE for
Search by stack and city
Stack communities (/community/react, /community/python) and city communities (/community/toronto, /community/karachi) list active members with their skills.
Learn more →See the work first
Public profiles show projects, snippets, posts and hosted rooms. You know how someone thinks before you reach out.
Learn more →Meet candidates in a room
Host an open room: "office hours with our backend team". Developers who join are self-selected and interested.
Learn more →Run your team's group
A public group for your engineering team is a standing employer-brand page that developers can join and search engines can index.
Learn more →Honest expectations
DEVAE is in open beta with a growing community. It is a place to build relationships with builders, not a database of a million profiles.
Learn more →No sourcing tools yet
There is no recruiter dashboard or InMail. If that is what you need, LinkedIn remains the tool; DEVAE is the community.
Learn more →Open a room from your terminal
Install the CLI once, then pairing is a single command from the project directory. Screen and terminal are shared with whoever you invite.

Yes. Stack and city community pages list members with skills, and public profiles are indexable. There is no dedicated recruiter search product.
Not during the open beta. Individual accounts are free; team and recruiter features are being designed with the community's consent in mind.
Post them in relevant groups or on your profile with the role, stack, location and range. Low-effort mass posts are removed.
The live number is on /stats, updated automatically. DEVAE is in open beta, so expect a small, active community rather than millions of profiles.
