Shopify on DEVAE
Shopify developers on DEVAE build themes, custom apps and the integrations that connect a store to everything else a business runs. Threads cover Liquid and the newer Hydrogen stack, app extensions, the Admin and Storefront APIs, checkout customisation, and the operational side of running a store at volume. A lot of this work is freelance or agency work, so the hub doubles as a place to find a partner for a client project or hand off an overflow build.
The Shopify hub →Developers in Ottawa
Ottawa has a large but quiet developer population: government and defence work, telecom and networking companies in Kanata, e-commerce and SaaS, and research labs. A lot of engineers here cannot discuss their day job in detail, which makes a community for side projects, open source and career conversations particularly useful. This hub lists DEVAE members from Ottawa, Kanata and Gatineau with their stack and current project, and rooms let you pair or get a code review without crossing the city.
