Developers in Pakistan
DEVAE's Pakistan community is a free hub for developers in Pakistan to meet, show what they're building, open live rooms to pair or debug, and find teammates nearby. Pakistan has one of the largest and youngest developer populations in the world, a freelance workforce that ranks near the top globally, and a fast-growing startup and software-export industry — and, until now, no home-grown social network for the people building it. DEVAE was founded by developers from Karachi, and this country hub is where Pakistani developers from every city, and the diaspora working abroad, can find each other. Members whose profile lists Pakistan or a Pakistani city appear here with their stack and current project, and rooms let you pair, practise interviews or talk through a client problem with someone in your own time zone. Posts in English or Urdu are welcome. Use the city hubs for local contacts and this page for the national picture: remote jobs, hackathon teams, open-source projects and co-founders. Add your city or country to your profile to be listed.
Time zone: Asia/Karachi. Members appear here when their profile location matches Pakistan.
Questions
Yes. This hub lists DEVAE members based in Pakistan, what they are building, and rooms you can join. It is free, and it works alongside the city's meetups rather than replacing them.
Set Pakistan as your location on your profile, post what you are working on, and open or join a live room. City rooms are the quickest way to talk to someone nearby without waiting for the next meetup.
Yes — this page is the Pakistan developer community on DEVAE. Members in Pakistan appear here automatically once they add the city to their profile, and rooms let you talk, share a screen and pair in real time. Posting in English or Urdu is both fine.
Yes. DEVAE is free for individuals during the open beta — profiles, posts, rooms and the CLI included.
